“Girlie” Cousins
ByKarenMy cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks. She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family. A Day In Allison’s Life – Zebra Outfit for the Day 2/15/13
ByKarenI let Allison dress herself. She wants to so I’d rather she become independent than always rely on me. That said, after Kindergarten we may have to work on her outfits more because some days the things she picks out wont fly in the upper grades. Here was today’s outfit… My favorite part is the blue Ariel socks with the black buckled shoes that have the worn out toes because she wears them every.single.day. And lets talk about the skirt – that is a Halloween dress up skirt but she likes to wear it as an everyday skirt. And the T-Shirt just cracks me up. Making Pizza With Nonnie
ByKarenMy mother is a great cook. And I’m not just saying this because she reads my blog. She really is a great cook! The girls think so too though most times if you ask Allison who is the best cook she will say “Mommy!” and then “Nonnie!”. I know I’m not a better cook than my mother, but I’m happy to hear I’m Allison’s favorite cook! One thing she makes that is really yummy is her pizza! And she makes it every Friday. It’s funny because my aunt, her sister, used to make pizza all the time and it was awesome. My mother never made it but probably because her sister did. When my aunt died, I thought I’d never have her pizza again. But…
The Easter Bunny Came!
ByKarenWe spend Easter at my inlaws but the Easter Bunny always finds us there. One year he left us seeds to grow lolipops and he knew we’d be there so he left them there. Once again he left them some fun baskets only this year they weren’t as big as normal because the Easter Bunny hurt it’s foot and couldn’t hop along as well to gather more stuff for the baskets. But he did leave chocolate balls all over the fireplace and the girls LOVED That. We thought maybe they were Easter Bunny droppings but thankfully they turned out to be delicious chocolate eggs. WHEW! I didn’t get a picture of the girls dressed up but did manange to snap a few pictures of them…
There is a Leprechaun in Our House
ByKarenWe aren’t Irish and don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but somehow this Leprechaun still managed to sneak into our house and hang himself up on the wall….. Just another one of Allison’s FUN Kindergarten Art’s & Crafts projects. I think she did a pretty good job!
Allison’s Tool Belt
ByKarenI have a new babysitter that comes over on Mondays and Fridays for a few hours in the morning to play with Allison while I get a little work done. Her name is Katie and she is really nice and Allison loves her! They were playing one day and Allison pulled out her tools – she LOVES her tools! Katie made her an adorable tool belt. She used a regular belt and put all her tools on it. Allison absolutely loved it and she looked adorable, as usual.
