We had Allison’s 1st Birthday Party this past Saturday and we couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day, weather and all. It was beautiful outside and the kids had so much fun. Allison enjoyed the day but got really tired from all the days activities. She was a little bit interested in the gift opening but not interested in the cake. She cried. Part of the reason was because she was hungry and she didn’t know that was food, it didn’t look like her regular food. I’m sure someday cake will be a recognizable food for her but not at 1. Today being her actual birthday, we are going to try the cake thing again so hopefully this time she’ll enjoy it. A few…

Last night I went and got a very much needed pedicure with one of my oldest friends Kimberly. When I say oldest I mean we’ve been friends for a LONG time, she’s not really older than me. We figured out this year will be 25 years we’ve been friends. That’s a LONG time and a lot of history. But anyways, we had a nice time and we got out toes painted together. I decided to paint my toes Blue. Yup you heard that right, I said blue. Why not right?? Not like anyone is really going to see them. I figured Holly would get a kick out of it and she did. (Steve thinks I’m crazy but that’s nothing new) Holly hasn’t noticed my toes…

Holly LOVES to color..It’s her new thing…But we must leave the crayons on the counter when we are done, or the walls become her coloring book. This has happened 3 times (if you count the fridge last week). I did get a picture this time before I cleaned it. Did you know that the Magic Eraser works really well getting crayon off your walls and fridge? Yup it does. Jodi can tell you too…I think she invested in the company recently. LOL The picture is a little blurry but it’s the wall in my hallway and there isn’t much light, but you get the idea. I love how her belly hangs out when she wears this top..It’s just too cute. Tuesday night we put the last coat of paint on the walls in the Nursery and I love it!! The yellow just looks so sunny and springy. Steve moved all the furniture back tonight so I’ll take a picture tomorrow and post it. This weekend, my mother is going to put the border up and slowly the room will start coming together. Pictures to come soon. Spring is starting to show it’s face around here. Today it was in the 60’s and just beautiful out. Holly and I played outside for a while and I even took my coat off. Yesterday we found the first signs of spring and they were in the same spot they are every single year, Crocuses. They pop up first…

My mother has been spending a lot of time over here lately and she’s been such a great help. Her and Holly have been having fun too. She’s trying really hard to get Holly to accept a barrett in her hair. She’s not having much luck but she did managed to get her to keep one in for a while. Maybe if we keep trying, she’ll eventually just accept them. She looks so cute!!! We are trying once again to get her to go on the potty. She loves to sit there but nothing comes out. I think once she goes the first time, she’ll be so happy and proud that she will want to go again. I’m trying and we are now using M&M;’s…

When it was time to come inside Holly asked if we could have some Hot Chocolate, so I said “sure!”. She was all excited, this was the first time she was trying it. I mixed it up, added some cold milk to cool it down and then added one of her favorite things……… marshmallows!! Oh Boy life can’t get better than this right now (she is thinking). She LOVED it! Of course she didn’t drink much, which is what I expected, but she sure did eat all the marshmallows. She’s such a cutie.
