A new look………..

Our family received some good news yesterday. Some of you who know my cousin Mia (46) had open heart surgery in June and has been paralyzed ever since from the waist down. Last week she was able to wiggle two toes on each foot and after a few days she was wiggling all the toes on one foot. She went to Boston yesterday for an evaluation and they said that since she is able to do that, then it means that she WILL walk again someday!!! That was the best news ever. We had an idea that would be the case but they confirmed it. She needs to just be patient and keep up with physical therapy and just give it some time. They said…

Well, Holly’s still not better. Today she’s completely not herself. Steve woke me at 7am and said she was awake but just laying there playing with her hands. I told him to go get her and bring her into bed with me (cuz she loves to play on the bed) and when he did, she just layed there..then wanted to get down and started with that wine/grunt sound. So I told him to get her some juice. She sucked down 3/4 of the cup. She sat with me while she did that so I had my “bottle” moment. The ceiling is finally dry and the basement as well. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel for 3 days, I don’t know if I could of taken one more day with all the noise from the blowers, but thankfully they took them away yesterday morning. We were hoping to get started with the repairs to the chimney and ceiling right away, but since it took so long to dry out, we can’t get an appointment until next week so it’s going to take a little longer than we hoped. Oh well, it’s out of our control. We have a tarp on the roof so at least if it rains (which it isn’t supposed to) we are all set this time. Holly and…

That’s what you could call our house last week. We were all sick. Holly started it all with a cold/cough/slight fever. The Allison started coughing and had a runny nose. Then Steve started with a sore throat, stuffy nose and cough, then Allison got worse and started with a fever that would NOT go away. That’s when I called the doctor and asked to bring her in. I was thinking maybe she had an ear infection but I also wanted to make sure her lungs were clear. I was wrong about both. Instead the poor little thing has the Flu and RSV! I’ve been slacking on this blog, I’m sorry. I’ve been spending so much time on my other blog that I keep forgetting to put up some new pictures of the girls. So here are a bunch of random photos from January 09. We got more snow on New Years Day so the girls were able to wear the new snowsuits that Nonnie gave them for Christmas. I love the Blue on them. Allison really enjoys the snow. They both wanted to help shovel too, so they got their sand shovels and gave mommy and daddy a hand. Allison loves getting her picture taken. And I love taking it! Allison just looked so cute cuddling with Zebra I had to grab the camera.

Allison will be two soon……….She has discovered necklaces, and loves them…… And she usually has one on every day now and sometimes even sleeps with it, if I don’t catch it! OH and that’s ducky and Junie (from Little Einstiens) her other two friends besides Zebra. We aren’t very original with the names in this house.
