I am not a big fan of the mall or the craziness that is happening there at the holidays. Plus we don’t live close enough to one to make me want to drag the girls there to take a picture. It feels so nice to be home with my family. Thank you Jodi for keeping everyone updated. You are such a great friend!!!!Allison and I came home on Saturday, we stayed one extra day and I’m glad we did. I’m nice and rested and feeling great. I enjoyed my time with her in the hospital, but it’s so good to be home with Holly and Steve now. My in laws left Sunday and we’ve spend the day together as a family and it’s been great. Allison still loves Dora. She doesn’t watch the show too much, but she loves Dora’s books. She has a pile of them sitting in her bed that she reads to Eeka at night. She knows most of the stories herself now after hearing them so much. I love listening to her ‘read’ the stories because she is right on with so many of the details. Today we were in Job Lot and we went by the kids book aisle. I noticed some Dora books and went through them all to see what she had and didn’t have. We ended up getting 6 more but they were only $1.00 each so why not! Needless to say, she’s excited to read to Eeka tonight. So what does…
Friends of mine set up a photo session for our family. It was gifted to me in September but with Steve having surgery in October, we never got around to doing it. Now that he’s in his last days, we knew we had to make it happen. The photographer was kind enough to come to our house and work with us in taking some pictures. I dressed us all in blue for colon cancer. And I love the results. We will treasure these photos forever!
Allison was feeling under the weather and had a slight fever. We felt so bad for her. She didn’t want to go to bed so instead I put her in front of the TV with Eeka and her blanket and told her to relax. I knew she’d fall asleep – and she did. She looked so cute sleeping I had to take a picture of her. I don’t know how she could lay in this position for so long but she did……… guess when you’re small it’s easier. I’m happy to report her fever only lasted a day and then she was fine.
We still have boxes. It’s been almost 2 months but the girls rooms still have boxes in them. IT doesn’t look like this anymore.. (Allison popped up from behind a box when I snapped the picture!) ….but the boxes in the back corner that you see in that picture are still not unpacked. The problem is they are full of toys – toys that they probably don’t need since they haven’t played with them in like 3 months considering they were packed up before we moved. Why do they have so many toys? Because I can’t resist myself. I see something they will like and I find a way to get it. In my defense, a lot of the toys are for review on the…
