They finally came today to fix the holes in the ceiling, the chimney and finish taking up the rug downstairs. In case you don’t remember, a week before Allison was born, we had a bad rain storm and not only did water come into the basement but it came through our dining room ceiling too. It was not a fun time for us. But now the ceiling is fixed and the walls are freshly painted and they aren’t white anymore. They are actually a light greenish/yellow called Spring Blossom. That’s me!! Not sure how old I was there but I’m guessing a couple of months old. I was the second child so the pictures weren’t marked with dates or anything else. (LOL sorry mom but it’s true). I knew Allison looked more like my family but I didn’t realize how much she looked like me. When I pulled out that picture I felt like I was looking at her. Here is a picture of her I took recently that definitely shows the resemblance.

We had a really nice weekend, and it’s not even over yet. Monday is our bonus day. It’s started off good on Friday when Steve took a half a day off. It was nice to have him home again after being gone on his trip. Allison had her 1 month doctor’s appointment so Steve and Holly hung out together at home and me and Allison went to the doctors. She did great. She weighs 8lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long. So she gained an inch since birth (which didn’t surprise me at all) and she’s a little over a pound from birth which is perfect. Everything else checked out good and her doctor was very pleased with her progress. No shots this month, but…

Allison is One month old today. I can’t believe how fast this month went by. She has grown so much and I can’t wait to take her to the doctor’s tomorrow and she how much she’s grown because I know she has. She received this cute zebra as a present when she was born from the ladies that own Curves (where I used to work) and I’m going to take a picture of her with it each month so we can see her grow.
