Merry Christmas………..

I bought Holly some watercolors since she LOVES to color so much. After lunch last week, I pulled everything out. I showed her what to do and she immediately caught on and really seemed to enjoy it….until she got some of the paint on her hands. She didn’t like that part. I had to keep wiping off her hands. I told her not to touch the brush so nothing would get on her hands, but she just kept doing it. So funny the things she does understand and the things she doesn’t understand. She sat on Santa’s lap!!! I was so excited, more than she was. This is her 3rd Christmas and I finally got her to sit on his lap. I’m so proud of her. We met Lil David and Jodi at the mall yesterday and when we walked in, Santa was the first place we saw. At first Holly got shy and looked away when Santa waved hi. But after a little while she wanted to go up to see him, and play with the stuff that was there around him. When you are having fun and I really am with the girls. Holly is just getting so big and becoming more and more of big girl each day and the toddler is slowly fading away. She is pretty much potty trained, she only wears a pull up when we go out and at night. Even when we are out she will ask to go to the potty. Sometimes 3 and 4 times at one place, but I know I have to just go with it. She doesn’t use her little potty much anymore. She goes right into the bathroom and sits on the big potty all by herself and then comes to me to help her put her pants back on. It’s amazing how well…

I’ve been slacking on this blog, I’m sorry. I’ve been spending so much time on my other blog that I keep forgetting to put up some new pictures of the girls. So here are a bunch of random photos from January 09. We got more snow on New Years Day so the girls were able to wear the new snowsuits that Nonnie gave them for Christmas. I love the Blue on them. Allison really enjoys the snow. They both wanted to help shovel too, so they got their sand shovels and gave mommy and daddy a hand. Allison loves getting her picture taken. And I love taking it! Allison just looked so cute cuddling with Zebra I had to grab the camera.

Holly is defiantly a fish in the water like her dad. Not that I don’t Love the water, because I do, but it’s a different Love for Steve and Holly seems to have that too. She even lets him dunk her underwater. I really should take her for formal swim lessons this fall. She just has so much fun while in the pool. Whether it’s the big pool or her kiddie pool, she just LOVES the water. And then at the end of the day she gets to take a bath and get into more water. I’m so bad at coming up for titles for my posts here, and all I could think about this video is “she’s so silly”. I am in the process of clearing out our computer/craft room so we can move Holly in there after the holidays (the new baby is going in Holly’s current room). Holly discovered tonight that she fits perfectly in the cabinet under my desk for my computer tower. It was really cute watching her try and get herself in there all the way and close the door.
