Merry Christmas………..

We had a really nice weekend, and it’s not even over yet. Monday is our bonus day. It’s started off good on Friday when Steve took a half a day off. It was nice to have him home again after being gone on his trip. Allison had her 1 month doctor’s appointment so Steve and Holly hung out together at home and me and Allison went to the doctors. She did great. She weighs 8lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long. So she gained an inch since birth (which didn’t surprise me at all) and she’s a little over a pound from birth which is perfect. Everything else checked out good and her doctor was very pleased with her progress. No shots this month, but…

Today is my nephew Kristopher’s Birthday. He is 5 today. WOW 5!!! That’s amazing how fast he is growing. It really does seem like yesterday he was born. I remember when I went to go see him for the first time, his brother Jonathan, who was 3 1/2 at the time, was with me. He said hi to his baby brother then looked at me and said “Auntie Karen, why doesn’t say hi to me?” It was really cute. I think he as expecting a full grown boy to be born that would talk and play with him. This kid was kinda boring he thought. But Kristopher was absolutely adorable. I’m so excited!!!!! Finally one of my scrapbook pages is going to be published!!!! Last week Memory Makers magazine emailed me that they were going to feature one of my pages in their online newsletter and I was VERY excited about that. Well this week Scrapbook Trends emailed me and they want to PUBLISH one of my layouts in their December Issue!!!!! I was so excited. I screamed for Steve and he thought something happened to Holly. He laughed at me as I jumped up and down squeeling like a pig I was so excited!!!!! The best part of it is it’s a layout with me and Holly in it, which makes it even more special. It seems like my blog has been all about my digital layouts. Sorry about that. I’ll post a ‘Holly’ update below this layout. My nephew Jonathan (who turned 8 yesterday) made his First Communion this past May. He’s also my Godson. It’s amazing how fast the past 8 years have gone by. It seems like it was just yesterday we were awaiting his arrival, not sure if he was a boy or a girl, and very excited. It’s one of those days that will always be fresh in my memory, that’s how exciting it was. Anyways, Steve took a really nice picture of him and I the day of his party and I finally scrapped it. I’m sure you’ve all seen The Big Toy Book that Toy’s R Us put out every year?? Well it arrived in this weekends paper and we kept it for our Christmas shopping. I was showing Steve a few things in the book and when I left it on the couch, Holly grabbed and and began to look through and make her ‘list’. It was the cutest thing, she just kept turning page after page and saying “Dora, Boots”….I had to snap some pictures. I guess this is just the first year of many that she’ll grab that book and make her list.

The nursery is really coming together, thanks to my mother. She spent the weekend here and helped me finish up moving Holly’s stuff out of the closet and Baby’s stuff into the closet, she put the wall border up and started hanging pictures on the nursery wall (we need to by string to hang the rest and each time we went shopping, we forgot!). Here are some pictures of the Nursery so far, it should be finished next weekend. Today we are going to buy Holly a bed and will try to have it delivered on Friday.
