Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned 37 today. Yup 37! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was turning 30 and now it’s 7 years later. Time really flies, especially when you have kids.

My mother had us over for dinner and cake this past weekend for my birthday. It was nice. The girls loved signing happy birthday to me.

They are such good helpers. LOL

Tonight Steve took us out to dinner, we went to the bar in Pawcatuck, we use to go to all the time before kids. I love their burgers so I was happy to go there. Plus the girls really like going there and sitting on the high stools.

It was a nice birthday. I wasn’t looking forward to it but it turned out great in so many ways.

Allison’s Kindergarten Birthday Party

Allison has the first of many birthday celebrations today.  Since it was school vacation this week, I figured it was the perfect time for her to have a party with some of her Kindergarten friends.  Since I have a boot on my foot and getting around is a big hassle, I convinced here to have the party somewhere else so mommy didn’t have to do all the work. Me & My Silly Girls

We spent the weekend at my parents while Steve was traveling and before we left I wanted to leave some cute pictures of the girls on my mother’s camera. They were so silly. The camera settings were off at first so some of them are blurry but they were too cute to not post. Allison was being silly closing her eyes. Holly thinks she’s a model, always striking a pose. Allison isn’t quite sure what to do. She figured it out. lol

My Baby is 10 Today!

Happy 10th Birthday to my baby girl Allison. I can’t believe she’s 10! I’m so proud of the person she has become. She’s a super smart, loving, empathetic, fun kid that loves gymnastics, makeup, music, MATH and ZEBRAs! I love her imagination and how much she wants to be just like me. The older she gets the more she looks like her daddy and while she’d rather look like me, I’m so glad to have a glimpse of him everyday. I love her to the moon and back and so did her daddy!!! There was nothing more that he wanted than to see her turn 10, 16, 18, 21 and so many more birthdays. But he’s with her every day, I just know it! Happy…

Day Five of Spring Break School Vacation {Birthday Party}

Today was day 5 of the girl’s spring break and the last day (not counting the weekend).   To end the week we had a birthday party for Allison at AC Moore.  She had her party there last year and loved it so much she asked to go there again.  I don’t mind because not only is it affordable, but the staff is great and she can pick her own craft. Before we began, she had them write their name on the table (which was covered with kraft paper) and also to draw a picture.   A lot of her friends drew pictures of zebras which I thought was adorable! Mother’s Day – My Girls Spoiled Me Today!

My girls spoiled me today!! My day began with them letting me sleep in, then waking me to kisses and breakfast in bed – heart shaped toast, a hardboiled egg and a granola bar. Then they showered me with lots of presents. They really made me feel special today  It’s been tough being their mom the past 6 months, but I try my best and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for them . They are my world right now . The day was complete with a great dinner with my mom and dad. I love my mom beyond words and I’m so lucky to have her.
