Baking Day!
I’ve been baking cookies for the past 8 years now and last year was the first Christmas that I didn’t bake (I think I baked the year Holly was born but I’m not sure, I might not of, it’s all a blur). I was so sorry that I didn’t so I made sure this year I did. I usually stress about getting it done but I didn’t. I enjoyed the process and I especially enjoyed Holly helping me. She was such a good helper and very eager. Here are some pictures of her baking………..
Peanut Butter Blossoms……..yum yum!!
Cinnamon Oatmeal yum yum……
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies yum yum……. and Cinnamon Gem Cookies yum yum…..
OK I love Peanut Butter and Cinnamon, can you tell?
Thumbprint Strawberry Shortcake Cookies yum yum!! This year I made them much bigger than I usually do and I put the icing on them too (not in this picture). After I tested one (I have to make sure they are good before I give them to my guests) I remembered why I don’t usually put on the icing… it makes them much sweeter. I will make a note on the recipe for next year.
Don’t ask about these because they will NOT be on the cookie tray. Something new I tried and it didn’t work out so well. The picture looks like nice yummy chocolate cookies, right? WRONG they are chocolate but they aren’t yummy. Perhaps I did something wrong? I’m not sure.
OK moving on….
And finally my cookies, all done! (The only one I don’t have a picture of are the Butter Balls yum yum) I may make more before Wednesday. Not that I don’t have enough because I have plenty. But I want to make at least 1 more kind, so we’ll see.
Now I need to go and walk on the treadmill for 5 hours to make up for all the taste testing that’s been going on the last few days. LOL
