6 Month Pictures

That was a very short lived bug, thank goodness. By Tuesday morning her fever broke and by the end of the day she was pretty much back to her normal self. I’m glad that didn’t last too long. This morning she’s fine, except she got up on the wrong side of the crib! LOL Hopefully that will change after her morning nap.

If Holly could say those words, that’s what we would of heard over the weekend from her. She’s been trying for so long to climb up onto the love seat by herself. She’s been successful once or twice but she’s tried a lot more than that. Well, this weekend she achieved her first little goal….getting up on the love seat, repeatedly, by herself. And each time she would look so proud too. I finally caught a picture of her up there by herself this morning, but of course she wouldn’t smile for me. We are finally getting ready for the Holidays. Christmas seems to be creeping up me and it’s going to be here before I know it. My favorite thing to do is put up the tree. I love my tree and get so excited to do it, but this year, I wasn’t looking forward to it. Just the the thought of taking the time to do it and then thinking how will Holly do with putting things on the tree, not taking them off, then I figured Allison would be grabbing every from the tree and putting it in her mouth. We had a very nice weekend. Actually the it started on Thursday for us. We arrived in Agawam Thursday morning because Steve had to work up there on Thursday and we returned home Sunday afternoon. We had a great time. Holly did fantastic while we were there. She wasn’t even bothered by the fact that we weren’t home for 4 days. She’s so great. Being away from home seemed to inspire her to say more words. She says mama all the time now. She would say it from time to time but it is a regular word for us now and I LOVE to hear it. Easter morning Holly didn’t really understand that the Easter Bunny was coming so I got to sleep in before she got her basket. Once I was up, her basket appeared in her room on her Dora chair. She was so excited when she saw it and her favorite thing in the whole entire basket was a little plastic flute that cost .25. Go Figure. But we were happy she liked everything. When Nana and Poppa came back from church they gave her their Easter Basket, another fun one! She loved everything in there too. I tried really hard to get a good picture of her in her dress, but she didn’t want to pose for me so this is the best I got. Daddy cooked…

Holly received a LOT of gifts for Christmas but we haven’t opened everything up just yet. I’m pulling things out as needed. Well yesterday she needed something different to play with so I opened her new AquaDoodle. It’s like the MagnaDoodle only you use water and there is NO MESS AT ALL. Well she absolutely LOVED IT! (Thanks Cuozzo Cousins!). She sat there for about 45 mins (which is a long time in toddler land) and just wrote and stamped her little heart out. The mat is made with special material that turns blue when anything wet hits it and then disappears when it drys. It’s never ending fun. I was so happy she enjoyed it so much.
