The slacking has continued….

Holly was enjoying some blueberries this weekend, but it got pretty messy so we moved to the highchair. She had a blue mouth and blue fingers, she looks so cute! I took some pictures of her and she was being so silly. She’s a happy girl even when she’s blue!

Allison is One month old today. I can’t believe how fast this month went by. She has grown so much and I can’t wait to take her to the doctor’s tomorrow and she how much she’s grown because I know she has. She received this cute zebra as a present when she was born from the ladies that own Curves (where I used to work) and I’m going to take a picture of her with it each month so we can see her grow. The girls had a BLAST on Halloween this year. Holly was counting down the days while Allison had no clue. We go to downtown Westerly where they close down the street (yes, town is so small it’s just one street LOL) and the stores all pass out candy. We went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it so we decided to do that every year. We really can’t walk the street and trick o treat where we live anyway. We we got there Allison was in awe just looking around trying to figure out what was going on, it was really cute. Yesterday (Friday) was not a very fun day for us. We have some problems with water coming into the house through the garage when it rains a lot, especially in the winter when the ground is frozen. Yesterday was the worst yet and needless to say, this spring we are going to fix the problem for sure. Steve planned on staying home in the morning because that was when it was going to rain the most and the hardest. We have a few pumps so things were going well until about 10:30am. That’s when the water began to pour into the garage. We started cleaning it up but it was coming so fast it was hard to keep up. Then it started coming in through…

I don’t normally get great pictures of my mother because she hates to smile. She says she doesn’t know ‘how’ too (sorry mom, but you do!). Well I finally got a perfect picture of her and Holly and they are both smiling pefectly!! I scrapbooked it right away and I love how it came out. I found a quote that I thought would be great for this page because there wasn’t really a story to tell about the picture. It says “Grandma’s are mommies with lots of practice”. PERFECT!!

Holly is developing quite the personality and she shows it with her many facial expressions. Steve and I find ourselves laughing at her a lot, especially when she gets mad. We can already tell the teenage years are going to be fun! Yesterday I caught two of those “famous expressions” on camera. Of course we think she’s just a beautiful even when she looks like this……. This look is saying “Mommy, I don’t want to smile right now”. This look says “What do you mean I can’t have another snack???” (I get that one a lot during the day, especially right before supper) But like the shirt, she’s a princess in our eyes, even when she gets mad.
