Summertime…

We had a nice LONG Easter weekend that began on Thursday when our friends arrived. Jodi and Lil David came to spend a few days with Holly and I because Steve was going on a trip (A trip that once again didn’t happen LOL). Holly and David were SO EXCITED when they saw each other, it was so adorable. They really are buddies and enjoy each other. They had a great time and played so well together, even better than I expected! Holly’s has had some issues recently with sharing so I expected a problem, but she did so well, we had a few issues but nothing like I imagined. Today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since we were married. Of course those have been 5 WONDERFUL years. My life changed almost 8 years ago when I met my husband. I knew shortly after I met him that we’d be together forever. It just felt right, I didn’t have to be someone I wasn’t, I could totally be myself and it was a great feeling. We had so much fun together when we were dating and we still do today. It’s great to wake up every morning next to the best thing that ever came into my life. So much fun playing in the water. Holly had a blast, once again, playing in her pool. She LOVES to splash and toss the water out off the pool. She hasn’t emptied it yet, but I have a feeling she’s working towards it some days. She really does know how to have fun and I love to watch her.  

It’s been almost a year, I know but I’ve become much busier in the last year and this just kind of fell through the cracks, I’m sorry. But let’s just forget about all that and enjoy these pictures because it could be another year before I post anymore (just kidding, I will try). Holly started Tennis lessons last night. She loves playing it on the Wii so I figured why not let her learn how to play in real life. The lessons are only 30 minutes each week (which I found out was just enough time for them) on Friday afternoon’s for 4 weeks. It’s been a while since I sat down and did some scrapbooking, I just haven’t had the time. This past Saturday, Jodi and I spent the day together scrapbooking and I got a LOT done. Then Sunday afternoon I sat down and did a few more. It felt so good to get back in the groove again and I can’t wait to do more. I’m hoping to get some more time this week. At least while we are home and she isn’t sleeping. That is Holly of course. She is finally potty training and it’s going so well in such a short period of time. A few weeks ago she started going occasionally on the potty at my mom’s house, but not here. Well, last week I started asking her more and more if she wanted to go on the potty and each time her answer was “no mommy, not now, no potty, I too big” Obviously she doesn’t realize that because she is big she needs to go on the potty, she gets confused. But anyway, buy Friday I realized that I just needed to take off her diaper and NOT put another one on, then she…
