Summertime…

It’s been a while since I sat down and did some scrapbooking, I just haven’t had the time. This past Saturday, Jodi and I spent the day together scrapbooking and I got a LOT done. Then Sunday afternoon I sat down and did a few more. It felt so good to get back in the groove again and I can’t wait to do more. I’m hoping to get some more time this week. I need to catch up a bit before the baby arrives. Here are my creations from the weekend. Thanks for looking!!! I plan on making a christmas album but I LOVE these pictures so I couldn’t wait. Last night I went and got a very much needed pedicure with one of my oldest friends Kimberly. When I say oldest I mean we’ve been friends for a LONG time, she’s not really older than me. We figured out this year will be 25 years we’ve been friends. That’s a LONG time and a lot of history. But anyways, we had a nice time and we got out toes painted together. I decided to paint my toes Blue. Yup you heard that right, I said blue. Why not right?? Not like anyone is really going to see them. I figured Holly would get a kick out of it and she did. (Steve thinks I’m crazy but that’s nothing new) Holly hasn’t noticed my toes…

Holly LOVES her books. She wont really sit too long and let us read to her but she does spend a LOT of time looking through her books. I’m glad because her daddy is a HUGE reader and I know he learned a lot of what he knows through reading and I wish for that for her too. I enjoy reading too, but I like the romance novels and I don’t learn too much I can use in life from them. LOL I keep a bunch of books in the car now too and if I need to keep her awake or she just needs some entertaining, then I hand her a book. She’ll sit there, point to things that she knows and even thing…

I tried scrapbooking this weekend and while I did get 3 pages done, I’m not happy with any of them so I’ll try to re-work them until I’m somewhat satisfied. I seemed to have lost my scrappin mo-jo. Since that wasn’t working and I was really in the mood to scrap, I decided to try some digi scrapping. I purchased some templates from Gina Miller Designs last week so I thought they might help to get me going. Well it worked and I got 2 pages done. Then I took some time to organize my digital items to make it easier. I think this week I’ll just stick to digital and see what happens. Here are the 2 pages I did do…

When it was time to come inside Holly asked if we could have some Hot Chocolate, so I said “sure!”. She was all excited, this was the first time she was trying it. I mixed it up, added some cold milk to cool it down and then added one of her favorite things……… marshmallows!! Oh Boy life can’t get better than this right now (she is thinking). She LOVED it! Of course she didn’t drink much, which is what I expected, but she sure did eat all the marshmallows. She’s such a cutie.

I know we aren’t Irish…but still it’s a day to celebrate, right? Well actually the only way we are celebrating (again, because we aren’t Irish) is Holly is wearing Green today….. Obviously she isn’t looking very festive and happy in this picture, probably because I made her wear green and we aren’t Irish. But tough luck, I still get to pick out her cloths! I’m going to keep trying to get a better picture of her today and If I do, I’ll post it here later, so check back. She’s napping now, well she’s supposed to be napping but she’s in her cribbing addressing all of Ashaway (she’s talking very loud) about something but I’m not sure. She’s probably telling eveyone that I made her…
