Friends of mine set up a photo session for our family. It was gifted to me in September but with Steve having surgery in October, we never got around to doing it. Now that he’s in his last days, we knew we had to make it happen. The photographer was kind enough to come to our house and work with us in taking some pictures. I dressed us all in blue for colon cancer. And I love the results. We will treasure these photos forever!
Essex Steam Train

We lived in southern RI/CT for about 12 years. We’ve been parents for about 8 years and we have driven by the Essex Steam train hundreds of times but we never took the girls on the train until this Spring. Cowgirl Boots are COOL when you are 7

Cowgirl boots are cool when you are 7 and 37. But this 7 year old recently discovered just how cool they are! Holly received the above pink cowgirl boots a few years ago from a friend – they were a hand me down. They didn’t fit her and pretty much were pushed to the back of her closet. One weekend I cleaned our her closet and they resurfaced again and………… she hasn’t taken them off since. This picture was taking on her 7th birthday and the bus driver thought she got these boots for her birthday. I explained that they were old and had been ‘rediscovered’ after some cleaning. Holly wanted to wear them to school but I said ‘No, your feet will hurt…

Day One of Spring Break School Vacation {Shopping}

We are on school vacation this week and I promised the girls we’d do at least one fun thing a day but I do still have to work. They love going to the mall, well Holly does (Allison prefers to not walk around too much) and they had some Easter money burning a hole in their pockets so we had to go spend it! Jodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Holly I am sure is loving all the playtime with her Daddy and Grandparents and Steve is holding down the fort. Holly is understanding that mommy is staying at the doctors and she goes home with Daddy. She understands too that Baby Sister will be coming home to their house.
