I love the summer, but not the heat. We defiently do so much more in the summer than any other time of year. Things we LOVE about summer: 1. POOL When we were looking for a house a pool was NOT a priority and when we found one with it, we figured it was a great bonus. We had no idea how awesome it would be to have a pool. We have a huge yard so right after Steve mows the lawn (on his riding mower) he jumps right into the pool to cool off. Makes mowing more fun. The first summer here we knew the pool was worth it and last year was even better because Holly LOVED the water. I’m hoping she enjoys…

Allison has discovered that she can get herself up onto the couch, Holly’s rocking chair, the Dora chairs (though she topples over in those quite often) and now she’s trying to get onto the dining room chairs. She can’t quite do it yet, but she’s trying. I helped her up yesterday morning and we sat together for a while. I was able to get some really cute pictures of her. She was still in her pajama’s but she looked adorable, of course. She grabbed the phone off the table and began pushing the buttons and ‘talking’ on the phone. She doesn’t really have any words yet, I have heard her say something that sounds like Hello a few times, but that doesn’t stop her from…

Yesterday was my birthday and Holly picked some flowers outside for me. It was the best gift! She was so excited to give them to me. She even helped me put them in a vase and they are so pretty! It was kind of warm out yesterday so we set up the sprinkler and Holly had a blast! I tried to get some cute pictures of her, but she moves so fast it’s not that easy. And finally a picture of Holly and I……I have to get the picture from my mother of Holly, Allison and I, this is all I had on my camera.

Last night I went and got a very much needed pedicure with one of my oldest friends Kimberly. When I say oldest I mean we’ve been friends for a LONG time, she’s not really older than me. We figured out this year will be 25 years we’ve been friends. That’s a LONG time and a lot of history. But anyways, we had a nice time and we got out toes painted together. I decided to paint my toes Blue. Yup you heard that right, I said blue. Why not right?? Not like anyone is really going to see them. I figured Holly would get a kick out of it and she did. (Steve thinks I’m crazy but that’s nothing new) Holly hasn’t noticed my toes…

Holly and Allison really LOVE each other. Allison’s face just lights up when Holly walks into the room and she gets so excited. And whenever Allison wakes from a nap, Holly’s face lights up when she sees her. It’s so great to see how much they love each other. I’m sure this will change as they get older, but I’m just enjoying it for now. Here are some cute pictures I got of them together last week. Our little Princess Holly. Holly and I took a trip up to New Hampshire yesterday to visit with Jodi, Lil David and a friend of ours from college Jenny. (Hi Jodi and Jenny!!!). It was a beautiful day for a drive…the sun was out and it was nice and warm (but not HOT) and it just made me feel so good to be out in it. Holly did fantastic on the ride up. She slept for about 45 minutes right in the middle of the 2.5 hour drive…it was perfect! She even let me listen to most of my music all the way there…that was a treat for me.
