The Holiday Weekend…..

I couldn’t seem to get to this earlier in the week, Holly and I were trying to get back into our routine and I haven’t spent much time on the computer during the day. We had such a busy weekend and it started on Friday.

Steve took the day off and we went and got haircuts in the morning (Steve and I, not Holly yet) and then went food shopping for the weekend. Once we got home, Holly decided she wasn’t going to take a nap because she snoozed in the car so Steve filled up her kiddie pool and the three of us went out back to play. She LOVES her pool and she LOVES the backyard. And she wants to be barefoot, don’t try and put sandal’s on her..NOPE. She even walks all over the little and big rocks bare foot. CRAZY kid!!! We had some friends over for dinner…Karen, Charlie, Jessica (their daughter) and Jakob (their grandson). After dinner Holly and Jakob (who are 1 year and a day apart in age) played so well together. They played in the pool for a little while, but Jakob had more fun playing with the water hose and filling in a whole in our grass with water and making mud…Holly had fun playing that too. It was cute! Then they were climbing on the rocks together. They had fun. Here are a few pictures I got of the two of them….

Saturday was another day playing in the back yard. The weather was beautiful all weekend!!! I found out on Friday from the doctor that I can’t go swimming yet because of my surgery so I wasn’t too happy about that but there’s not much I could do about it so I got over that quick. Hopefully soon I can go..the water looks so good now. We filled up Holly’s kiddie pool again and she had a blast. My mother came over in the afternoon and spent the night because she wanted to help me do some house cleaning since I still had to go easy on twisting/bending/pushing/pulling for a couple more weeks. My mother’s so good…she cleaned my house and did just about all my laundry and we even went out for coffee after Holly went to bed. I enjoyed spending time with her and she was a BIG help!! Holly was happy to see her too and had fun running around with Grandma and out running Grandma. Here’ are some pictures from Saturday…

Pool Time….

On Sunday we had our 4th of July party with my family. We also had the Kamerzel kids over for the day while Mark and Sue went to a wedding. We had so much fun with them. Steve spent the first part of the morning assembling a new stair/ladder that we got for the pool that has a gate on the bottom to keep little people out of the pool. I played with Kaitlyn and Alex outside while Holly slept. Kaitlyn wanted to go in the big pool so bad, but she patiently waited for Steve to finish so he could take her in. Once they were in, she had a blast. Steve had fun too…it was him, Kaitlyn and Holly in there for the most part and they were having so much fun. Holly LOVED the big pool and could of stayed in there all day if we let her. Here are a few shots of them swimming….

On Monday my friend Tom and his daughters came over to visit. They all went swimming and I relaxed by the pool. We had a nice visit. The only pictures I took on Monday were of Holly having her picnic lunch outside…

We went to my parents friends John and Rose’s cookout. Every year they have one but we never go because we always having people over and this year we didn’t have anyone coming on Tuesday so we planned to attend. It was fun, Holly was the hit of the party. She was acting so silly and having so much fun, she had everyone laughing. It was cute. Of course there was some more swimming and I got some cute shots of her in the pool.
