in Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day!We had a nice day. Every year since before I became a mother, we invite our 4 parents over and we have steak and lobster. Yum Yum!! It’s pretty much a mother’s day/father’s day dinner. Holly was very excited for Mother’s Day this year. From when she first heard it mentioned a couple of weeks ago, everyday she’d ask me if it was Mother’s Day next. It was really cute! She wanted to buy me a card last week when we were at the store, I told her to wait till Daddy came home and he would take her card shopping.

Our day started out early, well it did for Steve more than me. Allison decided at 5:30 she wanted to get up, this was very early for her. But Steve was already up since he was trying to get himself back on US time (he was in Libya last week). She he let me sleep till 7:30 and then Holly woke me with a kiss and my card, it was very sweet.

We spent sometime outside, it was really nice out. While out there Holly sang me a “mother’s day” song. It melted my heart, she really is so sweet. Allison had fun playing with the rocks and the car. Here are a few pictures…..

She’s in!!!

Holly wanted to try the lobster so she put her bib on just like us and tasted it. She said it was good, but didn’t want anymore. She wasn’t really hungry, dinner was earlier than usual, so she just went and played.

Here she is in her bib, she really didn’t want mommy taking a picture of her, can you tell?
