Happy Birthday Allison!!

Our First Snow, for this year that is. It snowed today and Holly was so happy. It didn’t really snow last year, nothing that she could play in and the year before she doesn’t remember so today was a fun day! Believe it or not, her snowsuit I bought her last year fits her perfectly, she’s so tiny. So that worked out well since I didn’t buy another one this year. She patiently waited for Allison to go down for her afternoon nap so we could go outside. Here are some pictures of her all bundled up having fun. Her had kept falling over her eyes. I received my new camera the week before the wedding so all the pictures I took were with that and I love it. It’s very similar to my old camera but it’s a newer version so somethings were improved and they changed the way some things worked so I’m still learning. But I am very happy with the pictures it took. Glad I had to get a new one. A few people have asked me how I made money to buy the camera. Well some of you know that I’ve become very frugal and save a LOT of money when I go shopping and I really enjoy taking surveys and doing mystery shopping. I love this picture of Steve and Holly. We were getting ready to go out and Steve was putting Holly’s coat on her and I snapped this picture. Even though Holly isn’t looking at the camera, it still makes a great shot. The Two Loves of my LIFE!!! I’m always telling Steve how much she is like him. She has so much of his personality it’s amazing. Lately I’ve also been noticing deferent expressions as being like his too. We did notice immediately when she was first born that she has his crooked pinky fingers and toes. A few of Steve’s toes curve in and Holly’s are exactly like his!! We don’t have anymore gates up, except for the top of the stairs. Now Allison can get into every room which isn’t really a problem EXCEPT the one fact of she LOVES to play with all the hair pieces and everything in the bottom draws of the bathroom sink (no cleaning stuff there). She takes everything out and lines it up, then puts it back. She thinks I don’t know she’s doing it but mommy always knows. This happens almost every week when Holly’s in school and mommy’s doing something. The good thing is most of the time she will clean it up too, most of the the time. 🙂

This morning, Steve had a late meeting so he was home when the girls woke up. Like most weekend mornings, I was still sleeping, so he brought them both into bed with us while I slowly woke up. I over heard this conversation between Holly and Steve and I wanted to make sure I made a record of it, because it was so sweet. Here is what I heard…. Holly: Daddy, thank you for bringing Allison home.Steve: (a little confused as to why she was saying this) Holly, why are you thanking me…Holly: Daddy, thank you for going to the doctor’s and getting Allison and bringing her home. Holly loves to play dress up with Mommy’s hats and scarfs. I have a ton of hats and scarfs and they are all in a basket near the door, along with Holly’s hats and scarfs. She prefers to dress up in mine when we are home. It’s really cute. These were her two fashion’s this past weekend. I tried getting a picture of Holly and my mother this weekend but Holly didn’t want to smile properly, but I couldn’t resist posting this picture because I can’t believe how big she looks in here. It’s amazing to see how fast she’s growing up.
