Busy Weekend…….

We had pretty busy weekend, but not too bad. Got a lot done. My inlaws are replacing their bed in the spare room with a bigger bed, so they gave us their old one, which is much more comfortable than the one we had in our spare room. So on Saturday they brought that over. Holly and Nana had a lot of fun playing in her new room with Dora’s castle. Holly loves when Nana comes over because she’s a FUN playmate. We visited with them and had a late lunch before they headed home. Then Steve, Holly and I hung out for the rest of the night.

I pulled out the camera Saturday afternoon to take some pictures of Holly. She was in a good mood, dancing around and I was able to catch her in action………

Then she had to stop to make a phone call, she didn’t tell me who she was talking too but it looked like a good conversation.

Sunday morning I slept in a little and slowly got moving. My mother was coming over early afternoon to help me finish up some of the room moving project. I will be so happy when the girls rooms are both done. We are getting there, slowly but surely. My mother was a big help too. She helped me get everything back in order and she especially helped me tackle a big project I had been putting off and that was cleaning out the closet in Holly’s new room. I didn’t even want to think about where I was going to put everything, but my part is now done, thanks to my mom! Thanks Mom!!!! Now Steve just has to put a few things of his away and it’s all done. I’m going to start moving Holly’s cloths in there today and then Holly will be ALL MOVED into her new room.

Holly even helped with the cleaning up. She loves to help.

And her just being cute….

Then later in the day my father, brother, sister in law and nephews came over to visit and have some pizza. Holly was very happy to show off her new room to them too. She LOVES playing with her cousins and they had a great time too. It was a nice visit and it really wore Holly out, she was exhausted. After her cousins left she played with Papa in her room while Nonnie took a snooze, then Papa took a snooze and she played with Nonnie in her room. She had a blast.

I also had my mother help me find the boxes of Holly’s cloths from when she was born. The girls are being born opposite season’s so a lot of Holly’s newborn stuff the baby won’t be able to use, but there is some we can re-use.

The nursery stuff arrived today and I’m very excited to get that done. We will be painting next week hopefully and then we can start decorating. I’d start this weekend, but I have a day off and I’m going scrapbooking on Saturday with Jodi. Can’t wait!

  1. Cute pics of Holly dancing, it totally sounds like you need a day off with all the rearranging going on. Can’t wait to see the baby’s room with the new stuff. Take care 🙂

  3. Well, now I regret that I decided not to come up with Bob next week. I could have helped you paint. I have lots of experience!

Your nursery is going to be darling. The picture you showed us of what it is supposed to look like reminded me for some reason of your scrapbooking. It’s like all the little details blend together like your scrapbook pages do.

    Have fun!
