I am Lucky to be able to say that I am the mother of these two Beautiful Amazing little girls. As long as they are happy and healthy nothing else should really matter to me. There isn’t anything in this world more important then the love from them, and my husband of course. They are my number one’s and I am here to take care of them. Everyday, when I wake up and see their smiling faces, and hear that wonderful little voice of Holly’s say “Good morning, Mommy” I am thankful that we have the life that allows me to be with them each and everyday and watch them grow into amazing people. Steve and I (along with my parents) had a little cake for Holly last night, her party is this weekend and our family’s will come over to celebrate with her. Let’s just say that she LOVED having Happy Birthday sung to her and she was even excited to blow out her candles. I never realized a 2 year old could do that. But she could NOT keep her little fingers out of the frosting. We won’t let her do this to the big cake on Saturday but we just let her have fun with her little cake. It was so cute and of course, I got it all on video!! Here’ it is……….enjoy!!

Yesterday we went to the Big E in Springfield Mass with Nana and Papa. The girls had a great time! The weather was perfect for being outside all day too and that made the day very enjoyable. Nana and Papa bought Holly a ‘ride all day’ pass and she really wanted to ride all day. She had a blast! Every ride that she was tall enough for, she went on. She was very brave with a few of them and she made mommy very proud. The height requirement was 36″ and she just made it at 36.5″. We got lucky! Holly learned to spell her name a while ago and can even write it. I’ve been told that’s really good that she can do that at her age. She is constantly asking me what a bunch of letters together spell. It’s very hard sometimes to even try and pronounce the letters she puts together. Here is an example: cdgghok – What does that spell? I have no idea. So I decided that since she wants to learn how to spell words then I will take a 3 letter word and work with that for a little while and take it from there. So our word for this week is DOG. Each day I ask her through the day how to spell DOG and she spells…

We had a very nice weekend. Actually the it started on Thursday for us. We arrived in Agawam Thursday morning because Steve had to work up there on Thursday and we returned home Sunday afternoon. We had a great time. Holly did fantastic while we were there. She wasn’t even bothered by the fact that we weren’t home for 4 days. She’s so great. Being away from home seemed to inspire her to say more words. She says mama all the time now. She would say it from time to time but it is a regular word for us now and I LOVE to hear it. She also started saying Slow, More and Ball. Too cute! Love to hear that little voice, it’s the best…

No more Momma or Dadda, it’s now Mommy and Daddy. “Thank you Mommy” and “I love you Daddy” Though I love this change because it shows she is growing up and her language is developing amazingly, it also means she’s not a baby anymore. We have just a few more things left of her ‘babyhood’ and once they are gone, it’s going to hit me hard. I see pictures like this one and notice how grown up she looks, but I can also still see her as a baby in my mind. Any mother can probably agree with me, it does go by so fast, almost in the blink of an eye. My mother has a Christmas tradition with her Grandchildren. Each year she buys…
