Jodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Goofy Kids and A Trip to New Hampshire

The girls and I took a trip up to New Hampshire for the day on Presidents day since there was no school.  It happened to be Winter Vacation for us, but not for little David.  But since it was a holiday, he had no school on Monday. The girls were very excited to see David and Joey as I was excited to see my best friend Jodi. The ride went well, we had no traffic and the girls enjoyed it too, which is always a plus.   However after driving for 2+ hours, we were all happy to arrive. “Girlie” Cousins

My cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks.  She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family.  It was also a great opportunity to get a picture of all the ‘girl’ cousins since they’ve all grown so much.  I look at Danielle, Stephanie and Alyssa and I remember the days they were born, as if it were yesterday. A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall

While I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store.  It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store.  We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall.  So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall.  When I told Holly and Allison that I went to the Disney Store while in California, they asked if we could go to one someday before the summer was over.  Of course I said yes. Allison’s Cursive Writing

Allison wants to learn everything Holly learns.  When Holly was learning to do math in Kindergarten, Allison learned to do math.  When Holly was learning to count by 5’s and 10’s.  Allison learned.  Allison then figured out how to count by 2’s just by the logic that it was every other number, no one taught her. Allison is smart, and hopefully will continue to enjoy learning new things as she gets older and won’t push school work aside for something else.  Holly is in 2nd grade now and she is learning to write cursive and is loving it.  Holly has very neat printing and her cursive is looking to be neat as well.  She’s still working on it. Day Five of Spring Break School Vacation {Birthday Party}

Today was day 5 of the girl’s spring break and the last day (not counting the weekend).   To end the week we had a birthday party for Allison at AC Moore.  She had her party there last year and loved it so much she asked to go there again.  I don’t mind because not only is it affordable, but the staff is great and she can pick her own craft. Before we began, she had them write their name on the table (which was covered with kraft paper) and also to draw a picture.   A lot of her friends drew pictures of zebras which I thought was adorable!
