Father Daughter Dance

  • Father Daughter Dance – My Favorite Picture of Holly

    ByKaren May 26, 2013June 5, 2013

She got this dress for her birthday back in November from Nana.  When she opened it she immediately said that was the dress she wanted to wear to the Father Daughter Dance and she never changed her mind about it.  I am so glad she decided to wear this one because it was so ‘her’ and looked awesome on her. I am also glad she wanted to wear her hair up again because as…

  • Father Daughter Dance – 30 Years Ago

    ByKaren April 14, 2012

Holly was so excited to go to the Father Daughter dance this year and last year and Allison can’t wait to go next year.  It got me thinking of when I was little and went myself.   And then my mother gave me some old pictures and I found this picture!  I was so excited when I did. Those of you that know me, know that is not my father so let me explain.  My father doesn’t like LOUD music, never did and still doesn’t.  When I was little he took me to my first Father Daughter dance and he didn’t enjoy it as much as I did because the music was too loud.  So the following year he asked a family friend to take…

  • Father / Daughter Dance Picture

    ByKaren March 4, 2012March 5, 2012

Photo credit Rebecka Richards I love this picture. Holly absolutely loves her dad, which is probably because she is JUST LIKE HIM.  Seriously, they are like two peas in a pod.  I’m not sure two people could be more a like. I think you get the picture. So when I look at this picture, I don’t just see a little girl who is happy to be with her dad.  I see a little girl who is looking at her dad with so much love and admiration — I know when she looks at him, her hearts melts.  And his does too. Whenever Steve travels, Holly cries when she has to say goodbye to him.  And she really misses him the entire time he’s gone.  Allison…

  • Father Daughter Dance 2012

    ByKaren February 18, 2012March 1, 2012

Tonight was Holly’s 2nd Father Daughter dance and she has been waiting for this night. Not only is it a night for her and daddy, but it’s the last night it will be just her and daddy as Allison will be in Kindergarten next year and will be attending with them. So it was a special night for Holly and Daddy. It was also a special night for Allison as she got to go on a date with Mommy!  We went to dinner at Chili’s which is her favorite place to go to.  And she also got a special new dress to for our night out. Holly wasn’t feeling very well and was at the beginning stages of a cold and right before they left…
