The slacking has continued….

We have a busy week scheduled here. Jodi and Little David have been here visiting for a couple of days and we’ve really enjoyed their visit. Holly loves having her friend David here to run with and play with. The sharing could be a little better but they are only 2 and I think they’ve done great. David really had enjoyed seeing baby Allison and likes to feed her. When ever he sees her bottle he thinks she needs to eat, it’s so cute. In between the rain on Monday, the kids ran around outside and had a blast……. After they played outside, I had to wash Holly’s legs and feet so I let her sit on the bathroom counter and play in the water,…

Allison received a really FUN Water Table for her birthday from her Godfather Joe, Becky, Joey and Tommy. What a great gift, she LOVES it!! And so does Holly. While Daddy and Holly were in the pool on Thursday Allison played with the water table. Here are a few pictures. I haven’t taken the time to blog the last few days but got lots to say (when don’t I?!!). Most importantly, my nephew Jonathan, who is 8 years old, had emergency surgery on Wednesday to have his appendix removed. Poor little dude was so sick Tuesday night and then by Wednesday morning his side was hurting so much he could not even walk. His parents acted fast because they suspected it was his appendix and sure enough it was. As they took it out, it burst so now he’s going to be in the hospital until Wednesday receiving an antibiotic. Poor little guy, he is being so brave and doing well. On Wednesday evening I was lucky enought to take a class from Donna Downey…

Well we’ve realized that we should start trying to Potty Train Holly. Not exactly sure how to go about it but the first step was to open the box with the Potty that’s been sitting in my dining room for 2 months now. So last night I did exactly that, put it together and put it next to the toilet in the bathroom. When it was time for Holly’s bath I said to her… “Do you want to sit on the potty and do pee pee’s?” She got all excited sat down smiled for the camera and then got up. Then she went back, sat down, smiled for the camera again and then got up. We did this about 5 times without any pee pee’s….

Here we are back at Monday morning. I used to HATE Mondays but now I like them. It’s a fresh start to a new week. I get the house back in order from the weekend and Holly and I plan our week. It helps that I don’t have to jump out of bed, get dressed and head out the door. That’s probably why I don’t Hate Monday’s anymore. But we had a nice weekend. My inlaws came and stayed the weekend (Hi Marge!!) and Holly loved it! Then we had a nice dinner at my parents house (Hi Mom!!) for Palm Sunday. My mother is a GREAT cook. Not that I didn’t know that until yesterday but I was reminded again. Of course she made…

Allison is usually very good about going to bed. She has been from the beginning. We didn’t have to go through any kind of sleep training with her, like we did with Holly. And I’m happy about that because it wasn’t easy. When it’s time for her to go to bed I tell her and then she goes to give Steve a hug and kiss (and she pats him on the back while she hugs him, it’s so cute) and then she runs up to Holly and puts her arms all the way around her, sometimes almost knocking her over. And then I get my hug and kiss and off to bed with Zebra. I kept meaning to get a picture of her hugging Holly…
