Last year….

Allison has discovered that she can get herself up onto the couch, Holly’s rocking chair, the Dora chairs (though she topples over in those quite often) and now she’s trying to get onto the dining room chairs. She can’t quite do it yet, but she’s trying. I helped her up yesterday morning and we sat together for a while. I was able to get some really cute pictures of her. She was still in her pajama’s but she looked adorable, of course. She grabbed the phone off the table and began pushing the buttons and ‘talking’ on the phone. We don’t let Holly take any toys into her crib. We just never did. Before her morning nap today she was playing with her baby doll (that’s what we call her) so nice. She’s been playing with her a lot lately, carrying her around the house, just like a little mommy. Well, I decided today to try something and let her take baby doll with her for her nap. I looked in on her after a few minutes and she was laying there, touching baby doll, I thinking she found a tag on her cloths. It’s been almost a year, I know but I’ve become much busier in the last year and this just kind of fell through the cracks, I’m sorry. But let’s just forget about all that and enjoy these pictures because it could be another year before I post anymore (just kidding, I will try). Holly started Tennis lessons last night. She loves playing it on the Wii so I figured why not let her learn how to play in real life. The lessons are only 30 minutes each week (which I found out was just enough time for them) on Friday afternoon’s for 4 weeks. I’m not sure if they offer more after the 4 weeks but I’ll figure it out then. Now of course I’m…

Allison really likes to color… a lot. She holds the crayon really well, even better than Holly does. And she tries to color in the objects, but of course she still goes outside the lines. We have plenty of time to perfect that. She would prefer to use markers, but since she likes to write on things other than paper, she is only allowed to use crayons. She doesn’t really like that, but for now she has to listen. She likes to write also. If you write her name, she’ll write right over it, as if she is tracing. It’s cute. It’s another way of her copying what we do. She likes to follow Holly around the house and do exactly as she does. I…

In my previous post I mentioned that Allison loves standing, well she still does! And she’s starting to walk along the couch a lot more. She even lets go everynow and then, but I still don’t think she’ll be walking anytime soon. I hope not, I am not ready for that yet! I’m greeted by her standing in her crib whenever I go and get her and she usually has a smile on her face like this….. It’s amazing how fast she is growing! We were all getting better, but not anymore. Steve has a really bad ear infection so he’s on antibiotics and Allison started with a fever again today and she’s still coughing and her nose is running just a bit. Holly is…

We finally was able to take the boat out for a ride on Saturday. They were expecting it to be hot and humid but instead it was beautiful and a great day to be outdoors, especially if you were on a boat! We had a fun time. Holly stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa. Our friends Mark and Jeff came with us. I’m glad Mark came because he grew up on a boat too like Steve so he knows the language and what to do. I have no CLUE when it comes to boating. I guess over time I’ll learn though. But we had a great time and stopped at Hamburg Cove which is along the CT River and the guys went swimming. The current…
