  • A Trip to Boston for a Red Sox Game

    ByKaren September 3, 2013September 18, 2013

Steve and I went to a Red Sox game yesterday, just the two of us.  Well we weren’t actually alone, we attended a retirement party for his friend from college who is retiring from the military.  She wanted to have her ceremony and party at a Red Sox game because she is a huge fan.  I was really happy when Steve told me because we probably would not have gone to a game as neither one of us are big fans…… but I’m so glad we did because we had so much fun. The last time I was at a Red Sox game I was only 19 years old.  I don’t even remember much of it and I certainly didn’t enjoy it the way I…

  • A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall

    ByKaren August 27, 2013September 18, 2013

While I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store.  It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store.  We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall.  So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall.  When I told Holly and Allison that I went to the Disney Store while in California, they asked if we could go to one someday before the summer was over.  Of course I said yes. Then all of a sudden the summer was coming to an end and we still had not gone to the Disney Store.   They were saving all…

  • Big Summer Adventure – Getting Their Ears Pierced

    ByKaren July 30, 2013September 18, 2013

Holly has been hesitant for a while about getting her ears pierced.  But when she noticed her friend Katie had her ears pierced and had mickey mouse earrings, she decided she definitely wanted her’s done.  We had to wait until the summertime because her dance recital was at the end of the school year and she can’t wear earrings during the recital.  She was OK with this because that gave her time to digest the fact that she was going to do it. I am traveling for a bit this summer so in between my trips, Steve thought it would be a good idea to take Holly to have her ears pierced because she had mentioned a few times she really was ready to do…

  • School is Out and the Pool is Open

    ByKaren June 24, 2013July 7, 2013

School is out and this is what we did the first day of school vacation.  My girls are like fish and they love being in the pool and oddly enough I’m enjoying it this summer too.  Not sure why.  Perhaps it’s because we have neighbors that enjoy swimming with us as well?  It’s always fun with friends.  Or maybe it’s just because I’ve slowed down so I can enjoy myself more?  I don’t really know but I have a feeling by the time summer is over we are all going to be completely water-logged from all the swimming. But see the happy look on her face?  That’s what I enjoy the most.  She’s swimming up a storm and just enjoying herself.  This is what parenting…

  • My Surfer Girl and Swimmer Girl

    ByKaren August 21, 2012

I love these two girls! This is my surfer girl in one of her cute bikini’s….. it has zebra print on it – of course! And my swimmer girl who still dances even in the pool!  (please ignore the color of the water, it’s not really green it’s just the reflection from the bottom of the pool!  Looks horrible, I know!)
