Father Daughter Dance 2012

Tonight was Holly’s 2nd Father Daughter dance and she has been waiting for this night. Not only is it a night for her and daddy, but it’s the last night it will be just her and daddy as Allison will be in Kindergarten next year and will be attending with them. So it was a special night for Holly and Daddy.

It was also a special night for Allison as she got to go on a date with Mommy!  We went to dinner at Chili’s which is her favorite place to go to.  And she also got a special new dress to for our night out.

Holly wasn’t feeling very well and was at the beginning stages of a cold and right before they left she really didn’t look good, but she got over it pretty quickly and had a GREAT time.

She also didn’t mind posing for a few photos before hand..

They took some cute pictures at the dance and I don’t have them yet to scan in to post here but I really love this one of them………….. so precious!

Back To School Time

“It’s the most wonderful time of the Year!!” Oh wait, that’s the holidays not back to school.  Bad Me.  LOL Yesterday was the first day of School and at a new school too!  They girls were very excited.  Especially Allison because she entered Kindergarten.  She’s finally in the same school as her sister.  She feels awesome! Holly started 2nd grade and was a little nervous and cried for a little bit before she went inside but she’s in the same class as our neighbor so that really helped her. She got over it pretty quickly in the end. We took a few pictures at the house first… And a YIPPEE Picture as well – though I’m thinking mom was more “YIPPEE” than the girls were….

“Girlie” Cousins

My cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks.  She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family.  It was also a great opportunity to get a picture of all the ‘girl’ cousins since they’ve all grown so much.  I look at Danielle, Stephanie and Alyssa and I remember the days they were born, as if it were yesterday. And then I laugh at myself thinking I must be old because that’s what old people say when they see kids! But it’s true – they are all grown up…

Holly’s Pre-K Graduation

Holly graduated from Pre-K tonight. She was so excited and nervous at the same time because they had a few songs to sing. I knew she’d do great and guess what? She did! A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall

While I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store.  It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store.  We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall.  So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall.  When I told Holly and Allison that I went to the Disney Store while in California, they asked if we could go to one someday before the summer was over.  Of course I said yes. Kid’s Today and Technology

This is what we have come too.  It’s cute and sad all at once, don’t you think?  Of course this picture was posed because when they all get together they don’t play with their electronics but we thought it would be a cute picture to have to represent how the kids mimic their parents. Me & My Silly Girls

We spent the weekend at my parents while Steve was traveling and before we left I wanted to leave some cute pictures of the girls on my mother’s camera. They were so silly. The camera settings were off at first so some of them are blurry but they were too cute to not post. Allison was being silly closing her eyes. Holly thinks she’s a model, always striking a pose. Allison isn’t quite sure what to do. She figured it out. lol
